Myoeletric Prosthesis
(Transhumeral or Transradial)

Description: Upper limb prosthetic device powered by battery or controlled by electrical action potentials on the skin of the residual limb emitted during muscle contraction

Function: Assist in restoration of upper extremity

Indication: Upper limb amputee with adequate muscle control

Indication on Rx: "Myoelectric Prosthesis"

Tranfemoral Prosthesis
Exoskeletal

Description: Prosthetic socket attached to knee and foot by rigid internal componentry, Hard external shell, Componentry is fixed/not adjustable

Function: Assist in restoration of lower extremity function

Indication: Transfemoral amputation

Include on Rx: "Transfemoral Prosthesis - Exoskeletal" / Function level
