Mike Moore,“I have the best support team with Cornerstone Prosthetics.”
My name is Mike Moore, and I am a 52-year-old man that refuses to give in to being technically a quad amputee.
In 2009 I became very ill and, by all rights, should not be here today to write this, but by the grace of God, I am. I am a double below-the-knee (BK) amputee, with my right hand and most of my left hand amputated.
I am, and always have been, very outgoing and VERY active. I refused to give into the “poor me” attitude, but instead, I have adopted a logo from Nike that I say to myself every day. What might that logo be, you ask? Well, as it says on my shirt, EVERY DAMN DAY JUST DO IT!
I have the best support team with Cornerstone Prosthetics. They help me with equipment and needed supplies, like my lower limb prosthetics; these can get me up and go daily. I like to run, hike and move like a normal person. My i-Limb robotic hand is also a major tool in my life (that I owe Cornerstone for introducing me to).
I guess I am saying that I am not like many others who use prosthetics, and I tend to be outgoing. I am saying that life is too short to sweat the small stuff, and limitations should not hold you back because of a handicap.
It is not as easy as it sounds, but I would love to help anyone that would like my help; all you have to do is call me, and I will be more than happy to do my best to see you through it.
